About the Role
BeatPulseLabs is seeking passionate and detail-oriented Music Annotators to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will listen to songs from various genres and cultures and create high-quality descriptions that help improve music understanding and audio intelligence systems.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in music, excellent English writing skills, and the ability to analyze and describe musical compositions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to songs across a wide range of genres and musical styles
- Write short, well-structured descriptions covering:
- Arrangement and composition
- Sonic elements and instrumentation
- Genre and stylistic features
- Production and mixing quality
- Vocal style and performance
- Emotional tone and atmosphere
- Record verbal descriptions when required
- Follow annotation guidelines to maintain consistency and quality
- Complete assigned tasks within deadlines
- Ensure annotations are clear, accurate, and easy to understand
Required Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Strong understanding of music theory and song structure
- Ability to identify instruments, vocals, genres, and production techniques
- Strong listening and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Comfortable performing repetitive listening and annotation tasks
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or formal training in Music Theory
- Experience in music performance or singing
- Background in audio production or sound engineering
- Experience creating music-related content
- Familiarity with multiple music genres and cultures
