A Data Entry Operator is primarily responsible for entering and managing data within a company’s Oracle system, performing tasks like data entry, verification, and reporting, essentially acting as a key user of the Oracle software to accurately record business transactions across different modules like production, inventory, and sales, often requiring a good understanding of specific Oracle relevant to their department.
Key Responsibilities of a Data Entry Operator:
- Data Entry: Inputting high volumes of data into the Oracle system from source documents, including details like production quantities, material movements, customer orders, and purchase orders.
- Data Verification: Checking the accuracy of entered data against source documents to ensure data integrity.
- Data Reconciliation: Comparing Oracle system data with physical inventory levels to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Reporting: Generating reports from Oracle based on specific requirements, including production summaries, stock status reports, and sales analysis.
- System Maintenance: Maintaining data quality within the Oracle system by performing data cleansing and updating master records as needed.
- Collaboration: Coordinating with other departments to gather accurate data and ensure smooth workflow within Oracle.
