Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify main client groups and audiences and determine the best way to communicate publicity information to them.
  • Provide upscale guest service experiences for clients throughout their stay.
  • Ensure Guests are properly greeted upon their arrival.
  • Welcome guests during check-in and giving a fond farewell to guest while checkout.
  • Handling guest complaints and concerns in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to patrons.
  • Draw up client bookings for tables and ensure that tables are set before clients arrival.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for VIP Guests and ensure Restaurant staff are fully briefed on their requirements.
  • Seek verbal feedback from customers on a regular basis and respond to all Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all facilities and services provided within the restaurant and identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate.
  • Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
  • Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting and attending to customers.
  • Inform guests about the availability of tables and direct them to the tables.
  • Keep records of guests who visit the restaurant.
  • Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
  • Assist customers with answers to queries, and proffer solutions to issues within your capacity.
  • Collaborate with other restaurant staff and the management to ensure that customer complaints are properly attended in a timely manner.
  • Check restaurants emails and respond to them accordingly; draw the attention of management to certain mails when necessary.
  • Communicate with other staff, such as dinners, informing them of clients bookings, needs and complaints.
  • Establish friendly relationships with regular clients.
  • Comply with restaurant security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
  • Ensures that restaurant brand standards are consistently implemented.
