The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, assisting medical teams, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring patient safety throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established clinical protocols and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with doctors and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.
- Conduct initial patient assessments and periodic reassessments within the required timelines.
- Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to admitted patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any significant changes to the concerned medical team.
- Maintain daily inventory records of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and recovery procedures.
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and patient safety guidelines.
- Supervise support staff in maintaining cleanliness, changing bed linens, patient hygiene, and biomedical waste management.
- Prioritize emergency cases and coordinate with consultants and departments for timely care.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and departmental documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing excellence programs.
- Handle all patient and organizational information with complete confidentiality.
- Support quality assurance and quality control activities within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational requirements.
