Assistant Professor – Nursing Tutor
About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Professor – Nursing Tutor to join our dynamic Nursing Department. The role involves providing instruction to nursing students, supporting their academic growth, and contributing to the overall mission of the Nursing program. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals and engage in meaningful teaching and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in topics such as anatomy, physiology, clinical skills, nursing theory, and pharmacology.
- Develop and deliver lectures, simulations, practical nursing exercises, and hands-on clinical learning experiences.
- Mentor and guide nursing students in their academic and clinical progression.
- Assess and grade students’ coursework, assignments, and exams.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in nursing practice and education.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and improvements.
- Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher. A Ph.D. or DNP is preferred.
- Licensing: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Previous experience as a nursing educator or clinical instructor is preferred. Experience in a higher education teaching role or a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage and mentor nursing students.
In-depth knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practice.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with simulation-based teaching or online course delivery.
- Active involvement in professional nursing organizations or research.
