About the Role
Cloudastra Technologies is looking for a highly motivated Backend Developer Intern with a strong interest in Python and backend technologies. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in backend development, API creation, database management, and scalable application architecture.
You will work on real-world projects alongside experienced developers, helping you develop practical technical skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications using Python and Django.
Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB to manage data and optimize queries.
Improve application performance, security, and scalability by following best development practices.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry standards.
Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to enhance application stability.
Use version control systems such as Git for source code management.
Participate in agile development processes including team discussions and project planning.
Maintain technical documentation for developed features and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Python and Django (or Flask).
Understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
Basic understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
Interest in asynchronous task management tools like Celery, RabbitMQ, or Redis (optional).
Familiarity with server-side caching and performance optimization techniques (preferred).
Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
