Role Summary:
The Front Office Billing Executive is responsible for handling patient registrations, managing billing processes, ensuring accurate payment collections, and providing excellent customer service. She will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and professional hospital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Operations & Patient Coordination:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with a courteous and professional attitude.
- Manage patient registrations and update demographic details in the hospital system.
- Guide patients regarding hospital procedures, doctor availability, and services.
- Coordinate with different departments for patient appointments and admissions.
- Billing & Payment Collection:
- Generate invoices and process billing for consultations, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital services.
- Ensure accurate entry of charges and verify billing details before processing.
- Collect payments via cash, card, UPI, and other accepted payment methods.
- Handle advance payments, refunds, and adjustments as per hospital policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and receipt issuance for all financial transactions.
- Insurance & Corporate Billing Support:
- Assist in processing insurance claims and verify patient eligibility.
- Coordinate with Third-Party Administrators (TPA) for pre-approvals and claim settlements.
- Ensure proper documentation for insurance and corporate billing cases.
- Customer Service & Complaint Handling:
- Address patient queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Provide billing explanations and cost estimates as needed.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the respective department or manager.
- Record Keeping & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate billing records and patient files for audits and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, financial protocols, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for billing and front office operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in hospital front office/billing. Medical billing: 5 years (Preferred)
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with hospital billing software and MS Office.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Language: Kannada (Preferred)
