Day to Day

The ML Platform team builds and maintains the end-to-end machine learning infrastructure that powers Indeed’s most mission-critical products. Our mission is to enable ML practitioners at Indeed to focus on ML innovation and experimentation while we handle the underlying MLOps tasks and infrastructure. We design, optimize, and scale key ML platform components, ensuring seamless development, deployment, and management of ML models in production.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and infrastructure that support the ML lifecycle. Your work will include building scalable web applications, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and developing robust tools that accelerate ML experimentation and deployment. You will partner closely with data scientists, other engineers, and product managers to enhance the platform and drive key improvements. You will also offer direct assistance to ML platform users, helping with troubleshooting, optimizing workflows, and ensuring operational excellence. Your contributions will enhance infrastructure scalability, accelerate ML development, and maintain a user-friendly, efficient, and reliable platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, user-friendly tools that helps the lifecycle of ML experiments and model development.
• Build and maintain full-stack web applications and infrastructure to streamline ML operations.
• Take part in code reviews and design reviews in the team to maintain high standards
• Maintain and oversee your own applications during business hours.
• Make data-driven judgments, utilizing our analytics systems
• Partner daily with colleagues from many job functions: software engineers, product managers, data scientists, product scientists, and UX designers
• Engage in projects alongside team members and cross-functional partners.

Skills/Competencies

We are looking for someone with a lot of passion for coding, who enjoys taking on complex technical challenges, and is eager to learn and grow. You are excited about solving problems in MLOps domain, has a curiosity for building and optimizing ML platforms

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, building, maintaining, and optimizing backend infrastructure and modern web applications.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of MLOps concepts and infrastructure is a plus.
• Exceptional sense of ownership.
• Great communication and partnership skills.

Salary Range Transparency India

2,920,000 – 4,380,000 INR per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees.
