Job Title: In-Patient Coordinator

Reports To: Hospital Administrator / In-Patient Services Manager

Job Summary: The In-Patient Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of in-patient care, ensuring smooth hospital admissions, timely communication between departments, and exceptional patient service. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a patient-centric approach to healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Admission & Coordination
    • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
    • Ensure all required documents (insurance, consent forms, medical records) are collected and processed.
    • Assist patients and their families with admission procedures and hospital policies.
  • Communication & Liaison
    • Act as a bridge between doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and patients.
    • Provide regular updates to patients and their families about treatment plans and hospital procedures.
    • Handle patient queries and escalate concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Bed Management & Scheduling
    • Monitor bed availability and manage room assignments based on patient requirements.
    • Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure beds and rooms are cleaned and prepared for new patients.
  • Billing & Insurance Coordination
    • Ensure accurate and timely billing for in-patient services.
    • Assist patients with insurance claims, approvals, and reimbursements.
    • Liaise with the finance team to address billing discrepancies or patient concerns.
  • Patient Experience & Support
    • Provide emotional and logistical support to patients and their families.
    • Ensure patient feedback is collected and addressed to improve hospital services.
    • Work closely with the nursing and support staff to enhance patient satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in hospital administration, patient coordination, or healthcare customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations, medical terminology, and patient care procedures.
  • Proficiency in hospital management systems and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle patient concerns with empathy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multi-specialty hospital or healthcare facility.

Work Environment:

  • Hospital-based role requiring interaction with multiple departments.
  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per hospital requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month

Schedule: Day shift

Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus
