Lotus Petal Foundation is seeking a passionate and qualified TGT Computer Science Teacher to join our academic team and transform lives through education, nutrition, skill development & livelihood support. General Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer science concepts, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in shaping students’ knowledge and skills in the field. The TGT Computer Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering computer science lessons to students from grades 6 to 10, in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and standards.

Activity List and Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Instruction:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality computer science lessons for classes 6 to 10, aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
• Introduce and teach computer science concepts, including programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java, etc.), basic computer operations, data structures, and databases.
• Use a variety of teaching methods (lecture, demonstration, practical, etc.) to ensure students understand core concepts and applications.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Assessment & Evaluation:
• Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and assignments to monitor students’ progress and understanding.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic performance.
• Prepare and administer periodic tests and final exams as per the school’s schedule.
• Curriculum Development:
• Develop and update the computer science curriculum and teaching materials, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines.
• Integrate technology and educational tools to enhance the learning experience.
• Student Support:
• Provide one-on-one support to students struggling with the subject.
• Organize extra-curricular activities, projects, and workshops to foster interest and skills in computer science.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest trends in computer science and education.
• Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions to improve teaching skills and subject knowledge.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (B.Sc./BCA).
• A master’s degree in Computer Science (MCA, M.Sc.) will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching Computer Science at the secondary school level.
• Previous experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred.
